Dive Photography with Olympus TG-3 in 2024
TLDR: surprisingly still performant for macro shots, definitely not for video (you are likely much better off renting a GoPro from your dive resort for videos)

What even is the Olympus Tough TG-3?
I was introduced to the Olympus TG series by other divers when I first got my open water license with Anilao Scuba Dive Resort (ASDC) in the Philippines. This was back in 2017 where other diving enthusiasts, specifically for macro photography, had really wild setups to handle lighting as well as additional lenses and filters.
Anilao was famous for tiny things – Pygmy Seahorse, nudibranches of all sorts – and naturally a camera for macro photography was introduced.
